In order to answer to the lack of protective devices against Coronavirus we designed an open source face shield which complements chirurgical or FFP2 masks. It is useful against direct splashes of droplets.


Characteristics

- Production and assembling time: 3 min
- Cost per unit: 1€
- Accessible materials: elastic, A4 plastic transparency sheet, staples
- Accessible tools and machines: photocopier or laser printer 
- Light (15g) (0,03 lb)
- Can be folded, rolled up and put in an A5 envelope
- The transparency is not perfect


Instruction
________________

It’s a single use face shield. If you have to re-use, sterilize it according to the recommendations of your institution.


Composition and assembly
________________

- Transparency printable plastic sheet
- Flat Elastic, (polyester, latex)
- All the elements are assembled with standard staples  


Safety instructions
___________

It is a non-certified prototype that doesn’t exempt in no way to wear chirurgical or FFP2 masks. This face shield is useful against direct splashes droplets, with a filtering masks.
Before using the face shield, you have to ask a health care professional or hygiene services in your institution for advice.
